Rev. George Covintree, Jr. brings a deep commitment to Christ, an easy smile, high energy, and twenty five years of experience to St. Matthew's.  He has served as our pastor since July 1, 2010.  Previously, he served at Waterford Central, Detroit Redford, Baldwin Avenue Church and Center in Pontiac, and Berkley First. This July marks his 21^st year as a member of the Detroit Annual Conference. He pastured a United Methodist Church for four years in Rockland, Massachusetts while in seminary at Boston University School of Theology.
