COUNCIL ON MINISTRIES (COM) MEETINGS - COM meetings are open to the church at large. If you plan on sponsoring a fundraiser or an event or rent a room at the church (anything that needs calendaring), then this meeting is for you also!
We usually meet once a month, (unless Ad Board is meeting). It is imperative that we have reports from all committees. If you cannot attend, PLEASE SEND A REPRESENTATIVE FROM YOUR GROUP. If no representative is available, then at minimum, please send a report to me via e-mail to make sure that we are not running into any calendaring conflicts.
The 2012 calendar has been established. If there is a particular room or rooms that you need for any particular event, please let Connie know to insure its availability. St. Matthew's space is becoming tighter with Life Pentecostal Church and additional usage from outside groups. Just because you have used a particular room in the past, does not mean that room will be available to you now.
A copy of the 2012 Coffee Hour Schedule has been posted on the bulletin board in the hallway. If your group cannot handle a particular Sunday, please find a date that you think will work and contact that committee chair to work out a trade. Please note the additional "light lunches" that will correspond to the 50th Anniversary Guest Speakers. The Worship Committee kicked us off with grinder sandwiches, salad, cookies and beverages. There are some funds available to assist with food costs through the Worship Committee. If you need access to these funds, contact Mary Anne Duluk 734-421-6184.
The Council on Ministries do not usually meet during the months that Ad Board meets. Thank you for all of your good works. I look forward to another year of quality programs that serve our community and glorify God.
Blessings, Karen Harkness, COM Chair
